MTI Olivia 1 Tub (66 Inch x 36 Inch x 23.5 Inch) Review

I have not yet purchased this product. I was browsing catalogs and selected it from a catalog (which did not list the price) and then went shopping for the actual product. I found one in a local supply store selling for roughly $7,500 before taxes. I looked at it carefully, sat inside, etc. It looks fine for an acrylic tub. The problem is that it looks exactly the same in quality, design and craftsmanship as products selling for 1/5th of the price. I went home and started researching what's so special about MTI to allow them to price this as high as they do, and I still don't have an answer. I think they do it just because some customers want the bragging rights of having paid 10K for a tub. That's my only explanation. There are at least 6-7 competing products of various brands, that look practically the same and cost in a range between $1,100 and $1,800. Sorry, Olivia, maybe next time.
