American Standard KT.003.020 Customizable Flat Panel Children's FunBath Conversion Kit, White Review

My wife and I purchased this product after seeing it at a fair. It is fantastic for bathing small children without having to kneel on the hard bathroom floor. The only warning I have is that the tub is designed and built for tubs with the faucet on the right side. Locations for the hand sprayer and guard rail are pre-drilled on one side only. There are also 2" x 2" x 1" wide L-brackets mounted on the underside of the tub to hold the front panel in place (it is also held in place in the center of the panel with adhesive Velcro strips attached to support legs). To turn the tub around, you have to drill new holes for the hand wand and guard rail on the other side. You then have to get new L-brackets and adhere them under the underside of the tub surface to hold the side panel in place, preferably using a construction adhesive. Installation not including these customizations took only a few hours without much difficulty. Two people are recommended for placing the tub in the support frame, but I was able to accomplish the rest of the installation alone. The tub height is not easy to adjust once it is in place, so I recommend getting the height and level finalized before installing the tub surface.

One additional tip - the hand sprayer flow is sufficiently restricted that our shower head turned on at first, so we had to remove the shower head and cap the shower line temporarily with a screw-on cap that will remain in place as long as the FunBath is in use. If you have a selector that switches flow between tub and shower functions this will not be a concern, but if you block the back faucet in order to turn on the shower this will probably happen to you.
