Elements VAN040D-14E, Buttercream Review

My husband saw the 60 inch version of this vanity locally and just fell in love with it. I couldn't get him to even consider any other piece after he saw this one. However, he wanted the larger vanity, so we had to order it online. I also ordered two matching mirrors.

This furniture is truly beautiful and well built. We are already getting rave reviews from our family and friends. I was able to find porcelain tiles and an Allen+Roth light fixture that accent the pieces beautifully.

However, with the granite top and the sinks already installed it weighs 300 pounds! As do-it-yourselfers, we had to widen a door and just move it very cautiously inch by inch into the house. It took us 3 hours to get it into place. Also, for a person who is 5" 1" tall, I find the vanity to be a little too tall. I can't actually lean over the sink.

The only other thing I would caution buyers about is to inspect the piece thoroughly when it arrives. Ours had a tiny flaw that we were able to find an easy fix for and that the company was willing to help us with the cost, but if we had not been able to fix this locally, I think we would have had to return the whole piece for a replacement, because this furniture is put together in such a finished manner and their warranty is replacement only.

Very nice looking unit, really like the thermostat, I just turn it on an get a great temperature shower every time without fiddling with anything. Got 4 out of 5 since the install was a little confusing, and I didn't like putting the black plate behind the tile. The pipe connectors stuck out the side, and every shower I've worked on (Both of them), feed the shower with vertical pipes, so I had to buy 90 degree bends, but loved doing screw in + shark connectors and not having to weld, since my welding (is bad)!

Lenova says there are three kinds of disposals, and the unique permaclean drain connects to two of them without an adapter. I took a chance and bought an in-sink-erator evolution 3/4 disposal, hoping it was one of the two of the three that connects without an adapter.

Fortunately, it installed like a charm! I loved the ease, hated the uncertainty while I waited to find out if the two were compatible. Why can't the company just tell us which brands might need an adapter? They'll ship one for free, but why introduce such worry?

I'd give it 5 stars, but the drain wasn't centered in the sink. It was off by at least a quarter to a half-inch. It's not far enough off that anyone would notice, and it's not a problem for me at all, but I thought it a bit weird.
