I plan on writing another review after I own this product for a period of time. But, for now I am very pleased. It is very attractive. Temperature controls seem very precise, and the unit is quiet. It makes noise when dumping ice cubes, but what unit doesn't. When using the ice cube dispenser it is necessary to hold a wide mouth glass close to the dispenser outlet otherwise the cubes bounce out of trajectory. The instructions that came with the refrigerator say to do that, so this should not be considered a fault. Various noises arise as the refrigerator goes through necessary cycles, but this also should not be considered a defect. The shelving is attractive and flexible for various uses. Digital controls are easy to understand. So far, I love this machine. In six months to a year, I will write again to give my perspective based on long term experience. It might help to note that Whirlpool and Maytags of this type are made on the same production line in the USA. Personally, I think the two are close to identical in this model. The Whirlpool of this type got very high marks in Consumer Reports as 3rd best in French Door category, and was the "best buy."
