For one, it looks identical to the photo above. The look is industrial, reclaimed and all that. On looks alone, I'm sold. If all I had to do was look at it from afar, I'd be more than satisfied.

But that isn't the case.

From the moment I lifted the box from the hands of the FedEx guy, I noticed that this item was way too light. There's no way a shelf with four large slabs of reclaimed wood and iron beams could be this light. Still ecstatic over it, I opened the box up. Lo and behold, this product is a single foldable piece. A single. Foldable. Piece. You know, like the foldable TV dinner tables you pull up in front of the couch while you eat your Hungry Man frozen meal and watch Jeopardy? Restoration Hardware product this is not! But I wasn't expecting something pulled out of an old corset factory from the early 1900s. Nothing THAT genuine. But still...

The "wooden slabs" I mentioned, are hollowed underneath, as are the iron beams. That explains the light weight build.

Long story short...it's not worth the advertised price. Maybe half. I'm no hardware manufacturer, but I know this isn't worth $500+.
