I am unable to work and on disability, my husband is retired and has only his SS check each month, our daughter was born with Spina Bifida and is on SSDI. We are managing to pay our bills but have nothing left over.

I have several health problems including arthritis, chronic depression, anxiety disorder, migraines, chronic hep c and my doctor wants me to take drugs that are similar to chemo, a...nd we are currently waiting to see if I have cancer. I also have some strange thing that causes me to vomit for days on end for no reason any Dr. has been able to find.

I have managed to stop all but the most mild of pain relievers after my hip was replaced and all my psych meds since I quit working but now everything seems to be piling on top of me again and my shoulder is getting so bad it it hard to use it. I cannot even think about having my shoulder fixed until the other health things have been cleared up. My doctor says this will take at least a year unless it turns out I do have cancer, then all bets are off.

When we bought this house we were both working and in better health. There is only one bathroom and it contained a tub that I would soak in to relieve pain and soothe my nerves. It also helped with the nausea. A few years ago, when I was unable to use a tub because of my hip, we had it remodeled with a walk-in shower for our daughter. I am worried about her trying to step over a high tub wall. Now I have no way to find relief unless I can get a walk-in tub installed.

I have looked at several tubs online and have settled on is an American Standard 5ft right-hand drain walk-in model 3060.104.crw which is the tub pictured. The money I have asked for which is over and above the cost of the tub is to cover installation, the electrical work (we have to have a dedicated breaker for it and since we have no free ones left we have to get a whole new breaker box) and the structural work to make sure the weight of the tub does not cause it to fall thru the floor.

I know there are people much worse off with much less, but I thought I would ask anyway.
