I used this kit in the crawl space. You need to dig a trench down about 18 inches. I suggest you stay a foot or so away from the foundation or curtain wall.

This comes complete with an excellent float switch, powerful pump, a pump mounting shelf and all the seals. They say to cut a 4" hole in the recessed side(s) for the four inch pipe(s), but it does not have to be exactly 4". You can use the kind that is 4" 1/4" for drilling holes for recessed lights, or (as I did) put in the seal, draw a line on the rubber in the recessed hole, then use a small drill to make holes outside (or on) the line. Then use a saw to cut between the holes.

What you will need: Four inch drainage pipes to connect to one or both sides. A rubber 1 1/2" to 1 1/4" adapter with two hose clamps. A 1 1/4" drain pipe (I think they are about 20 feet long.) In order to service the unit, you do not want to glue anything to the 1 1/2" white pipe protruding from the top.
