I bought this for a small bathroom. I wanted something fancy that really stood out. I found it thanks to Amazon. I thought maybe the halogen bulbs would make it too hot, but so far that's not the case. I've had this installed for about 4 weeks now. It works great with the dimmer switch. You don't get that faint sound you get with a dimmer on regular bulbs. I've also posted a pic. You should definitely use more support to mount this besides what is provided. Yes, this is a bit pricey, but this is a gorgeous fixture.
