Its architectural lines and 16 gauge stainless with sound dampening padding make this a strong competitor against some of the high quality more expensive brands. We got a great deal on it from Faucet Direct (ie Improvement Direct) and have no regrets with our purchase. Kraus recently started making affordable sink grates for all their sinks including this one, which is a definite plus!!!
