I bought this lamp and a Kathy Ireland Mulholland Torchiere Floor Lamp to go in our master bedroom. We're extremely happy with them. Here's why:

- It looks much more expensive than it was. Everything about it looks great. The tortoise shell glass piece looks upscale. The base, pole and glass shades are constructed nicely. The top glass shade is on the heavy side. It's just really attractive and lifts up the look of our bedroom.

- It's solid and sturdy.

- The small lights can be shifted to change the light's direction. You can use one or both at once.

- You can create all kinds of light conditions by using the dimmer on the big light, and/or by using one or both of the small lights. It takes one 150 watt bulb and two 40 watt bulbs, so if it's all on together you get a nice level of brightness. The frosted white shades let more light through than darker or colored shades. Though there were some really nice lamps out there with decorative shades, we wanted to be able to make the room bright when needed, and this lamp allows for that.

- It comes in pieces, but was very easy to put together.
